About Talk in Code Well I can't tell you what the song is about. That's the point. As for the music - not my best ever. I liked the raised 4th degree of the scale and came up with a little piano riff with that in it. The piano riff was basically a descending-bass motif. The chorus was a modulation up to D from C to give it some punch and energy. The melody of the chorus is about as basic as you can get... I had a lot of fun with the breakdown/bridgething. I like how simple it is at first - a goofy chromatic thing. But then it starts rockin. And I also like how the lyrics use the space where the instruments have died out as a place to raise it up to the chorus 8va at the end. The piano solo is terrible. I've done very little working on my ability to piano solo. Of note - this was the first time I ever recorded my piano, which was a bit of an adventure dealing with the terrible microphone. It made for an interesting piano tone. And I also like the very ending, with the falsetto chorus right before the last downbeat. Hooray for lists of what I like about the song! 0101011100111010100100101011110110101000011010101010100000001110101
